How to Freeze Instagram Account?

To temporarily close or freeze your account:

1. Login to Instagram.com from a mobile browser or computer. You cannot temporarily close your Instagram account from within the Instagram app.


2. Tap or click on the icon at the top right, and select "Edit Profile."


3. Scroll down on the screen, tap or click on "Temporarily disable my account" at the bottom right.


4. Choose an option from the dropdown menu next to "Why are you disabling your account?" and re-enter your password. The option to close your account only appears when you select a reason from the menu.


5. Tap or click on Temporarily Disable Account.

1: Instagram After logging into your Instagram account, click on the icon resembling a human silhouette in the top right area, then choose the "edit profile" option from the page that opens.

2: Click on the "Temporarily disable my account" button at the bottom right on the new page that opens.

3: Choose your desired option from the options on the temporary shutdown page and click the red button.

4: Instagram When the Instagram account is temporarily closed, it will become active again when logged back in and will continue to be seen by followers.
